Basketball Recap: Anthony Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Anthony hadn't done well against Kermit recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Anthony Wildcats walked away with a 61-52 victory over the Kermit Yellow Jackets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Kermit lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brayden Pando, who posted 15 points. Diego Juarez was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Anthony's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-13. As for Kermit, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anthony will square off against Presidio at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Presidio will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Anthony surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kermit, they will face off against Tornillo at 8:00 p.m. on January 31st. Kermit is facing Tornillo at the right time seeing as Tornillo is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
