Basketball Recap: Elmwood/Plum City Comes Up Short

Elmwood/Plum City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 59-34 to the Colfax Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 418th, while the Vikings are ranked 61st).

Elmwood/Plum City's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Colfax, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elmwood/Plum City will take on Elk Mound at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Elk Mound will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Elmwood/Plum City surely won't give up without a fight. As for Colfax, they will head out to take on Somerset at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
