Softball Recap: Morrisville-Eaton Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Morrisville-Eaton dropped their record down to 7-3 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They fell 4-1 to the Cooperstown Hawkeyes. The game marked the Mavericks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

As for Cooperstown, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.

For Cooperstown's part, Katie Crippen was incredible, firing off two home runs, three RBI, and two doubles while going 4-for-4. Those two home runs gave Crippen a new career-high.

Morrisville-Eaton has already played their next matchup, a 17-2 victory against Oriskany on the 19th. As for Cooperstown, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-5 win against West Canada Valley on the 16th.
