Basketball Recap: Dunbar's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

After flying high against DuSable last Monday, Dunbar came back down to earth. The Dunbar Mightymen took a hard 30-13 fall against the Longwood Panthers on Wednesday. The Mightymen's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Dunbar's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Longwood, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Dunbar will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on EPIC Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (EPIC Academy: 23.2, Dunbar: 24) so any points scored will be well earned. Longwood also won't see the court for a while: their next matchup is against Woodlawn at 5:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
