Recap: Jemison Panthers vs. Thorsby Rebels
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chilton County, the Jemison Panthers were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 43-33 victory over Thorsby. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Jemison also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Jemison's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zariyah Johnson, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Bean, who scored 10 points along with 3 steals.
The victory got Jemison back to even at 3-3. As for Thorsby, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Jemison will look to defend their home court on Friday against Central of Clay County at 6:00 p.m. As for Thorsby, they will head out on the road to face off against Elmore County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Elmore County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Thorsby in Alabama (Elmore County is ranked 158th, while Thorsby is ranked 332nd).
