Recap: East Laurens Falcons vs. Wheeler County Bulldogs
The East Laurens Falcons stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Wheeler County with a sharp 76-56 win. Winning may never get old, but East Laurens sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
East Laurens' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rashund Washington Jr., who scored 21 points along with five assists and three blocks. Washington Jr. is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last five games he's played. Kyan Snead was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
East Laurens has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Wheeler County, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Laurens will face off against Dublin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in East Laurens' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last ten contests. As for Wheeler County, they will head out on the road to take on Wilcox County at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
