Chatham put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the West Orange Mountaineers 53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since December 14, 2024.

Several Mountaineers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyley Gary-Grayson, who posted 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. Gary-Grayson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Anaya Karriem, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 boards.

Chatham pushed their record up to 16-0 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points per game. As for West Orange, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chatham will challenge Morristown at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. West Orange has already played their next match (against Immaculate Conception), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
