Basketball Recap: Sparta Comes Up Short

Sparta lost to Reedsburg back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans fell just short of the Beavers by a score of 44-42. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sparta's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Reedsburg, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Sparta will square off against Black River Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 73.47 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Reedsburg, they will challenge Edgewood at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Beavers will be up against the Crusaders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 65.39 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
