Softball Recap: Stone Ridge Christian Takes a Loss

Stone Ridge Christian came into this matchup off a tough six-run defeat on Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Mariposa County Grizzlies by a score of 4-2 on Friday. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Grizzlies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Emma Quisenberry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Stone Ridge Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addy Soto, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
