You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Screven County on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Claxton Tigers out of the water with a 33-3 final score. The win continues a trend for the Gamecocks in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Screven County was led to victory by AB Hilton and Demarko Ward. Hilton rushed for 105 yards and three scores on only 12 carries, while Ward rushed for 87 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries. Those 87 rushing yards gave Ward a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Screven County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 241 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 183 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Screven County's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Claxton, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Screven County and Claxton will both be playing McIntosh County Academy the next time they take the field. The Tigers will host the Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Gamecocks will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th.
