Baseball Recap: North Canyon Takes a Loss

North Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Estrella Foothills Wolves, falling 10-0.

North Canyon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emilio Figueroa, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

North Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Estrella Foothills, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Looking ahead, North Canyon will square off against Paradise Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Rattlers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Estrella Foothills, they will be taking part in a tournament against Northwest Christian at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Crusaders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Wolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
