Preview: Addison Bulldogs vs. Shoals Christian Flame
The Addison Bulldogs will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Shoals Christian Flame at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Addison had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They claimed a resounding 54-0 win over Phillips on the road.
Addison's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jed Wilkins, who rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Jordan Hubbert, who rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Shoals Christian had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Waterloo 68-0 at home. The win was just what Shoals Christian needed coming off of a 46-7 defeat in their prior match.
Addison's victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.3 points per game. As for Shoals Christian, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Everything came up roses for Addison against Shoals Christian in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 56-0 victory. Does Addison have another victory up their sleeve, or will Shoals Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
