Recap: Academy of Notre Dame Lancers vs. Uxbridge Spartans
The Academy of Notre Dame Lancers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 63-32 loss at the hands of Uxbridge. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Academy of Notre Dame has scored all season.
Uxbridge was led to victory by Kellen Lachapelle and Colin Spencer. Lachapelle scored six points along with six steals, while Spencer scored 13 points. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Aidan Blood, who scored eight points.
Academy of Notre Dame's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Uxbridge, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
Academy of Notre Dame and Blackstone-Millville will round out the year against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Friday at. Uxbridge will finish 2023 at home by hosting Blue Hills RVT at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Blue Hills RVT knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Uxbridge likes a good challenge.
