Football Recap: Prairie View Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Prairie View had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-9 to make it eight. They were beaten by the Rocky Mountain Lobos 45-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Thunderhawks of the 28-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Rocky Mountain, they now have a winning record of 5-4. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Rocky Mountain's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ty Frank led the charge by throwing for 180 yards and four TDs on only 14 passes. The dominant performance also gave Frank a new career-high in passer rating (147.3). Bode Nesbitt was Frank's top target, picking up 91 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prairie View will head out to challenge Fort Collins at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rocky Mountain, they will venture away from home to square off against Fairview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Lobos surely won't give up without a fight.
