Basketball Recap: Penn Wood Comes Up Short

Penn Wood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the Interboro Buccaneers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Patriots have suffered against the Buccaneers since January 25, 2022.

Penn Wood's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Interboro, their win ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Penn Wood will square off against Academy Park at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Penn Wood is facing Academy Park at the right time seeing as Academy Park is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. Interboro has already played their next game (against Harriton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
