Burncoat proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 33) but on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-34 win over the North Middlesex Regional Patriots.

Dj Daniels continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 84 yards on only eight carries, while also throwing for 55 yards and two touchdowns on only five passes. Harlem Nickelson-Ketter also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

Burncoat was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 309 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Middlesex Regional only rushed for 78.

North Middlesex Regional's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colin Taylor, who threw for 354 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 50 yards.
