Volleyball Recap: Whiteville Comes Up Short

Whiteville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the New Hanover Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-11, 26-28, 25-16.

Whiteville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for New Hanover, their win ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whiteville will welcome St. Pauls at 6:00 p.m. on the 27th. As for New Hanover, they will challenge New Bern at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
