Volleyball Recap: Larkin Comes Up Short

Larkin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the South Elgin Storm. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Storm this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in March.

Larkin was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22.

Larkin's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for South Elgin, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-9.

Larkin has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Glenbard North on the 30th. As for South Elgin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Schaumburg on the 30th.
