Baseball Recap: Clinton Comes Up Short

Clinton extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 3-9. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Seymour Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Dragons have suffered since April 15, 2025.

As for Seymour, they pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games.

For Seymour's part, the team relied heavily on Braylon Williams, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Elijah Miller was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Looking ahead, Clinton will face off against Union County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Seymour, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fulton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
