Baseball Recap: Malden Comes Up Short

Malden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 12-0 to the New Madrid County Central Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Green Wave of the 11-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Malden's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for New Madrid County Central, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Malden has already played their next game, a 16-0 loss against Caruthersville on the 14th. As for New Madrid County Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 17-0 defeat against East Prairie on the 15th.
