Softball Recap: Wood Memorial Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Wood Memorial had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Dugger Union on Friday. The Trojans blew past the Bulldogs 10-3. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 11-0 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

Wood Memorial pushed their record up to 3-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.6 runs over those games. As for Dugger Union, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
