Basketball Recap: Alcuin Comes Up Short

Alcuin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were dealt a 54-27 defeat at the hands of Prestonwood Christian North. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-30 last Friday.

When it comes to explaining why Alcuin lost, don't look at Spencer Smith. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points.

Alcuin's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Prestonwood Christian North, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season.

Alcuin has already played their next matchup, a 51-39 victory against Cambridge on the 4th. As for Prestonwood Christian North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-46 defeat against Garland Christian Academy on the 4th.
