Preview: Toll Gate Titans vs. Hope Blue Wave
Toll Gate has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Monday. They will challenge the Hope Blue Wave at 7:00 p.m. Hope took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Toll Gate, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Toll Gate beat Tiverton 45-39. The team accrued 33 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win.
Toll Gate's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Will Goodine, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and five assists, and Dylan Perreault , who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 21 rebounds. Perreault is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Hope's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 61-27 loss at the hands of Cranston West.
Toll Gate's win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-2. As for Hope, their loss was their third straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1.
Toll Gate strolled past Hope in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 57-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Toll Gate since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
