The O'Neal School Falcons will head out on the road to take on the Fayetteville Christian Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The O'Neal School will be strutting in after a win while Fayetteville Christian will be coming in after a loss.
The O'Neal School barely beat Northwood Temple Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Falcons put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 7-1 victory on Thursday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Jake Shepherd made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI. The O'Neal School is undefeated when Shepherd posts three or more RBI, but 1-7-1 otherwise.
In other batting news, Kaiden Taveras was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
The O'Neal School kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are undefeated (2-0) when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Fayetteville Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 20-0 to Village Christian Academy.
Fayetteville Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Perusek, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.
Fayetteville Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for The O'Neal School, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-7-1.
The O'Neal School's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's matchup. The Falcons have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Fayetteville Christian, though, as they've been averaging only 1.1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will The O'Neal School continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went The O'Neal School's way against Fayetteville Christian when the teams last played back in March, as The O'Neal School made off with an 18-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
