South Johnston waltzed into their game on Tuesday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. Everything went their way against the C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons as they made off with a 12-5 victory. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

South Johnston got a massive performance out of Lannah Price, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Reese Penny, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

South Johnston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as C.B. Aycock only posted an OBP of .344.

South Johnston's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for C.B. Aycock, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Looking ahead, South Johnston will square off against Southern Wayne at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
