Soccer Game Preview: Mountlake Terrace vs. Shorewood

Mountlake Terrace is 2-8 against Shorewood since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Hawks will host the Stormrays at 7:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Mountlake Terrace fell victim to Edmonds-Woodway and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Mountlake Terrace can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while Edmonds-Woodway are ranked 31st).

Meanwhile, Shorewood entered their contest against Shorecrest on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Stormrays fell just short of the Scots by a score of 1-0. Shorewood fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Shorecrest since on Friday.

Mountlake Terrace's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-2. As for Shorewood, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2-1.
