East Central is 0-7 against Wayne County since January of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Hornets will welcome the War EaglesLady War Eagles at 7:00 p.m. East Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.2 points per game this season.

On Friday, East Central came up short against Robertsdale and fell 51-39. The game marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the defeat, East Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Trey Maryland posted 15 points. Brody Howard was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, Wayne County strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 55-51 W against South Jones.

Wayne County's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for East Central, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

East Central couldn't quite get it done against Wayne County when the teams last played back in January as they fell 62-55. Can the Hornets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
