With a playoff win on the line, Cherokee rose to the challenge on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Westfield Blue Devils with a sharp 6-0 victory. Considering the Chiefs have won 16 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Brett Jackson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May.

The win was the sixth in a row for Cherokee, bringing their record up to 27-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Westfield, they moved to 22-7 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Cherokee nor the Blue Devils have any future games scheduled.
