Baseball Recap: Trinity Prep Has No Trouble Against Windermere Prep

Trinity Prep never got on the board in their matchup last Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Windermere Prep on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Windermere Prep Lakers with a sharp 14-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Max Anders looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Trinity Prep is 4-1 when Anders allowsone or fewer earned runs, but 1-2 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Alton Gunther was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Connor Brady was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Trinity Prep has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. Windermere Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Prep will square off against Bishop Moore at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Windermere Prep, they will face off against Cornerstone Charter Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
