Landen Dellinger Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Starting off the list is Shepherd's Landen Dellinger, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Dellinger rushed for 215 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per carry, and also threw for ten yards and a touchdown. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (102.3). That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2023.

Preston Stephens's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his 14th-straight game with 119+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 143 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also caught a touchdown.

Tarkington had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Stephens it was a similar story. When Stephens last faced the Longhorns back in September of 2023, he rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.

Pierce Pirtle Makes It Two for Hamshire-Fannett

The second Hamshire-Fannett player making an appearance here is Pierce Pirtle, and for good reason. He picked up 66 receiving yards and a touchdown.

This year, Pirtle has caught 7 touchdowns while averaging 57 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he had two receiving touchdowns.
