Volleyball Recap: Sahuaro Takes a Loss

Sahuaro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Salpointe Catholic Lancers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Kaylie Rice paced Sahuaro's offense, picking up two kills. Rice got some help from Delarenta Ochoa and her three assists.

Sahuaro's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Salpointe Catholic, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Coincidentally, Sahuaro and Salpointe Catholic will both be playing Tanque Verde the next time they take the court. The Lancers will head out to face the Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Cougars will head out to face them at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
