Football Game Preview: Waterloo West vs. Ankeny Centennial

Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Waterloo West should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They will look to defend their home turf against Ankeny Centennial at 7:00 PM. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Waterloo West took their game against Mason City last week by a conclusive 34-0 score.

Meanwhile, everything went Ankeny Centennial's way against Urbandale as the team secured a 41-0 win. With Ankeny Centennial ahead 21-0, the contest was all but decided by halftime.

Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-0. After both teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
