Lanier gave up the first goal on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Mill Creek Hawks. While Lanier didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-11-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The win made it two in a row for Lanier and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those two matchups. As for Mill Creek, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Lanier and Mill Creek will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Longhorns are set to take on their familiar foe Johns Creek at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mill Creek will face off against rival Central Gwinnett at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
