Volleyball Recap: Decatur Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Decatur's victory against Byron Nelson wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Decatur Eagles had just enough and edged out the Byron Nelson Bobcat 3-2 on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Decatur who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-20, 23-25, 27-25, 25-27, 15-7.

Decatur's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Byron Nelson, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Decatur will face off against Nolan Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Byron Nelson, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Steele Early College on the 11th.
