Volleyball Recap: Forest Hills Eastern Takes a Loss

Forest Hills Eastern lost against Mona Shores back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Hawks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sailors.

While Forest Hills Eastern ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21.

Jaidan Yelding paced Forest Hills Eastern's offense, picking up seven kills. Yelding got some help from Emily Wolter and her 12 assists. Grace Ritzema controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Forest Hills Eastern dropped their record down to 2-15 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Mona Shores, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Forest Hills Eastern wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against North Muskegon on the 4th. As for Mona Shores, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Coopersville on the 7th.
