Santa Cruz entered their tilt with Soquel on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Knights 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Cardinals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Santa Cruz won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-15, 25-17.

Santa Cruz's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Soquel, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3.
