Soccer Game Preview: Glasgow vs. Franklin-Simpson

The Glasgow Scotties will square off against the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Glasgow managed to slip by Ohio County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Scotties came up short against the Eagles on Thursday, falling 8-0.

Meanwhile, Franklin-Simpson had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Raiders as they made off with a 6-1 win. Fans of Franklin-Simpson have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

Franklin-Simpson's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Glasgow, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Glasgow suffered a grim 5-2 defeat to Franklin-Simpson in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Scotties avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
