Basketball Recap: First Baptist Takes a Loss

First Baptist was the 83-57 winner over Rochester Area HomeSchool when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The First Baptist Crusaders took a blow against Rochester Area HomeSchool on Monday, falling 73-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Crusaders have suffered against Rochester Area HomeSchool since November 28, 2017.

Despite the loss, First Baptist had strong showings from Jared Dudek, who posted seven points and seven boards, and Caleb Lindsay, who earned 12 points.

This is the second loss in a row for First Baptist and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Rochester Area HomeSchool, they moved to 1-1 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

First Baptist won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Woodcrest Baptist Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rochester Area HomeSchool, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Prior Lake Christian at 6:45 p.m. on January 13, 2025.
