Lansdowne took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Western Tech & Environmental Science, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Vikings sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-11 victory over the Wolverines on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Vikings considering their two-run performance the match before.

Lansdowne moved to 8-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-8.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Lansdowne will challenge Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, they will take on Forest Park at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
