Soccer Recap: College Station Comes Up Short

If College Station was riding high fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Rudder last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The College Station Cougars came up short against the Lake Creek Lions on Friday, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Lions are ranked 97th).

College Station's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-3. As for Lake Creek, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-3-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Brenham the next time they take the pitch. Lake Creek will head out to face Brenham at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while College Station will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th.
