Exeter has gone a perfect 7-0 against Sierra Pacific recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Monarchs will head out to square off against the Golden Bears at 6:00 p.m.

Last Thursday, Exeter didn't have quite enough to beat Kerman and fell 3-2.

While Exeter ultimately came up short, they really made Kerman work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 24-26, 27-25, 25-17, 20-25, 15-7.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sierra Pacific, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Hanford West on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Sierra Pacific wouldn't go down easily and took Hanford West into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-21, 24-26, 20-25, 16-14.

Exeter has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. As for Sierra Pacific, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.

Exeter beat Sierra Pacific 3-1 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Monarchs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
