Basketball Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

Lafayette lost against Chillicothe back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lafayette Fighting Irish fell 42-35 to the Chillicothe Hornets.

It was another big night for Jaishon White, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 17 boards for Chillicothe. White's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Ashton Baker, who posted five points.

Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Chillicothe, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lafayette will venture away from home to square off against Savannah at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Chillicothe, they will challenge Kirksville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
