Mount St. Mary Academy proved they can win big on Friday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the Sweet Home Panthers 3-2. For the Thunder, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2019.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (95-94) Mount St. Mary Academy actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 13-25, 25-15, 25-18, 15-12.

Isabella Kilonsky paced Mount St. Mary Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Kilonsky got some help from Claire Gaulin and her 15 assists. Gianna Greco controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

The win got Mount St. Mary Academy back to even at 10-10-1. As for Sweet Home, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Mount St. Mary Academy will take on Mount Mercy Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sweet Home, they will head out on the road to face off against Clarence at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
