Basketball Game Preview: Muleshoe Mules vs. Littlefield Wildcats

Muleshoe is 0-10 against Littlefield since January of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Muleshoe Mules will look to defend their home court against the Littlefield Wildcats at 6:15 p.m.

Muleshoe is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game last Friday. The matchup between them and Dimmitt didn't end well, with Muleshoe falling 66-49.

Meanwhile, Littlefield had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They strolled past the Leopards with points to spare, taking the game 61-44. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Wildcats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 378th, while the Leopards are ranked 182nd).

Littlefield is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Muleshoe, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Muleshoe was taken down by Littlefield 86-43 in their previous meeting back in February. Can Muleshoe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
