Volleyball Recap: Bucyrus Starts Season with Win at Home

Bucyrus took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Marion Harding Presidents by a score of 3-1. For the Redmen, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Presidents walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

The victory didn't come easy: Marion Harding scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 16-25, 25-22, 25-21.

Haylee Stratton paced Bucyrus' offense, picking up ten kills. Stratton got some help from Brooklyn Ryland and her 21 assists. Lillyan Butchko controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Marion Harding's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Bucyrus has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Crestview on the 21st. As for Marion Harding, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Highland on the 21st.
