Volleyball Recap: Soldotna Triumphs + How To Watch

Soldotna hadn't done well against Wasilla recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Stars walked away with a 3-1 win over the Warriors. This was payback for the Stars, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Soldotna was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22, 18-25, 25-19.

Soldotna can attribute much of their success to Grayson Henry, who had 15 digs. That's the most digs Henry has posted since back in September.

Soldotna was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Soldotna and bumps their season record up to 16-7. As for Wasilla, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 13-10-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Soldotna beat the Warriors by a score of 3-0 on Saturday.
