Basketball Game Preview: Norton Panthers vs. Coventry Comets

The Norton Panthers will challenge the Coventry Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Norton came up short against South Point and fell 47-38.

Meanwhile, Coventry earned a 56-46 victory over Mogadore on Saturday. Given the Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 440th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Coventry's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Norton, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Norton came up short against Coventry when the teams last played back in March of 2024, falling 42-38. Can Norton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
