Baseball Recap: Youngsville Eagles vs. Iroquois Braves

While Youngsville's win against Iroquois wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles skirted past the Braves 3-1. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Braves on Wednesday, too.

David Manning spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

He has become a key player for Youngsville: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-3 otherwise.
