Baseball Game Preview: Corinth Warriors vs. West Point Green Wave

The Corinth Warriors will venture away from home to face off against the West Point Green Wave at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Corinth came up short against James Clemens and fell 6-3.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for West Point, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past Hamilton 12-11. The high-scoring effort was just what the Green Wave needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Reco Collins was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Quenshawn Posely, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances.

Corinth's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for West Point, their record now sits at 6-12.

Corinth came out on top in a nail-biter against West Point in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, sneaking past 9-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for Corinth since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
