Florence gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 63-36 victory over the Rocky Ford Meloneers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Florence to victory, but perhaps none more so than JJ Baker, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Noah Howard was another key player, going 5-for-12 to rack up 14 points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Looking ahead, Florence will be playing in front of their home fans against Kiowa at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rocky Ford, they are taking a road trip to take on Cheraw at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
